The Brief
As 2022 dawned, a familiar challenge loomed: another lockdown. Amidst this backdrop, Telco companies in Malaysia thrived, presenting an opportune moment for Astro to seize a greater market share. With their partnership with Maxis drawing to a close, Astro saw a strategic opening and wasted no time.
Hence, they introduced their very own broadband service, marking a signicant move from March to June 2022.
The Idea
Our campaign spotlighted Astro’s broadband speed, branded as ‘Speed Connection’, as the pinnacle of market velocity. We deployed a 360-degree strategy to raise awareness and drive traffic to our website via WhatsApp.
Digital channels were optimized with paid media, while nationwide Out-of-Home ads expanded our reach. Leveraging news channels and TV shows, we amplied our message, complemented by a TikTok song challenge with local artists. Culminating in on-ground activations at bustling malls, our campaign hit its crescendo, bolstering our overarching goals.
The Result
Over the course of our meticulously planned four-month campaign, the response was nothing short of astounding:
a staggering 25,000 new submissions flooded in, bearing testament to the resonance of our messaging and the efficacy of our strategic endeavors.
This remarkable surge in engagement not only exceeded expectations but also underscored the profound impact of our efforts in capturing the attention and loyalty of our audience.
